Configure syslog notifications

Unisphere supports syslog notifications.

About this task

To set up syslog with notifications:

Steps

  1. Select Settings icon.
  2. Select Alerts > Notifications to open the Notifications page.
  3. In the Syslog part of the panel, click Configure.
  4. View the existing syslog targets. There is an IP Address/Host Full Name, Port, Protocol, and Text Format for each target.
  5. Click Add to add a syslog target.
  6. Enter an IP Address/Host Full Name.
  7. Enter a Port number.
  8. Select one of the following Event Text Formats:
    • RFC_3164
    • RFC_5424
  9. Select one of the following protocols:
    • UDP
    • TCP
    • TCP with TLS
  10. In the Add Syslog Target dialog, click OK.
  11. Optional: To edit the syslog target, select it and click Edit icon.
  12. Optional: To delete the syslog target, select it and click Delete icon.
  13. In the Configure Syslog dialog, click OK.
